Our dept runs approximately 100 copies of Redhat WS.
Even though WS is described as a desktop version of the OS,
we also use it to run our servers, since none of them need
the extra packages, or run with more than 2 cpus.
Our servers are of two kinds; One, they are hooked to raid systems
and act mainly (but not totally) as nfs servers. Two, we use them to
run our in house servers.
So, the question is: Are WS, AS, and ES tuned the same way ?
If not what parameters should be tuned when we use WS as a server.
