Back Hi All,
I run Linux on an old box, with very little memory:
# /sbin/fdisk -l Disk /dev/hda: 3228 MB, 3228696576 bytes 128 heads, 63 sectors/track, 782 cylinders Units = cylinders of 8064 * 512 = 4128768 bytes Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System /dev/hda1 * 1 25 100768+ 83 Linux /dev/hda2 26 734 2858688 83 Linux /dev/hda3 735 782 193536 82 Linux swap
# df -h Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on /dev/hda2 2.7G 2.6G 43M 99% / /dev/hda1 96M 14M 77M 16% /boot none 62M 0 62M 0% /dev/shm
I removed already my man pages and cleaned up my /tmp/ directory, but stil /dev/hda2 is almost completly used up, /dev/hda1 however has remained stable at 16%. Is there a way that I can increase /dev/hda2 by using some of the space reserved for /dev/hda1 (or is there another, more permanent solution that you recommend?).
I tried to read up on Linux partitioning and filesystem hierarchy, but I couldn't find any pointers.
Kind greetings from Belgium, Jeroen
