Utility to delete old mail messages

Utility to delete old mail messages

Hello,
Anyone knows any utility to delete old mail messages by connecting to IMAP (or
POP) server and delete the messages there ?
So for example I can specify: "Delete messages older than Jan 1, 2005 ", or
"Delete messages between Aug 1, 2004 and Dec 21, 2005 ", etc.

I know about procmail, mailflter, mboxgrep but it does not seem natural to me
to use procmail-like or regex-like language to specify dates. Well, quite
honestly I 'm not sure how to do what I want with those utilities, if possible
<grin >. So if someone has example for that, that 'd be great too.

Thanks
RDB
