configuring nfs - portmap failure

configuring nfs - portmap failure

I am trying to configure nfs. I have installed nfs
server and it is running, as i checked with
ps -aux | grep nfs
It shows five processes running nfsd.

I have the following entry in /etc/exports
/dose 192.168.1.11(rw, no_root_squash)

Then I ran "exportfs -r ". I checked up from
/var/lib/nfs/xtab, the entry is present.

Then I did from another computer
mount -t nfs 192.168.1.11:/dose /mydose

It returns a message:
mount: portmapper: Port mapper failure: RPC: unable
to receive

I have also done /etc/init.d/nfs restart. But it has
not helped.

Could someone help please?
shiraz
