  | | | upgrade RHEL3 U2 to RHEL U4 without RHN | upgrade RHEL3 U2 to RHEL U4 without RHN 2005-03-22 - By Jason DePaul
Back Does anyone know of any easy (best) way to upgrade from RHEL3 U2 to U4 with redhat provided iso's via NFS? I do not want to be ties to RHN.
I need to plan on upgrading 75-100 machines via which ever method I can come up with. Each machines has update entitlments.
Also, suppose I installed several rpms or built applications from source after installing the RHEL3 U2 server and U4 has to overwrite a shared lib or binary? Will the U4 rpm fail to install, or will it just overwrite the existing shared lib or bin?
Hope this is clear Thanks JD
