Although I don't know where to download a courier-imap source
package I can point you in the direction of John Simpson's guide to
compiling courier-imap (based on the current source code tarballs) using
rpmbuild.

Those instruction produced a clean current courier-imap build for
me on RHEL4-AS. At some points during the build it looks like its stuck in
a loop of neverending configure cycles but this does seem to resolve
itself and continue.
