Thanks to everyone, especially Heather and Tom.
With a hotfix to PowerPath 4.3.1 all started working again. I'm using 2.4.21-31.EL from RHEL3 U5beta and the server has been rock solid since last friday. I had three different tasks that could crash the whole system. We ran all three at the same time. No problems :)

Let's face it, there's no Hollow Earth, no robots, and no 'mute rays.' And even if there were, waxed paper is no defense. I tried it. Only tinfoil works.
