I think he's looking at a more open source based solution for simple remote
access.

Now if he's looking for something more like a thin client host I'd suggest
he look at http://www.ltsp.org/. I have not used it nor do I know if it's
any good but it could fit what he's looking for.

Agreed, check with your CoLo vendor first, they may already have this as an
option. If not I've alredy provided some leads. :)
