Ed,
The current RHEL3 zip SRPM (zip-2.3-16.1.src.rpm) does include the
zcrypt v2.9 code needed to generate encrypted zips. To quote the
file_id.diz

Info-ZIP's ZCrypt 2.9:  generic C sources.
C source code add-on to provide PKWARE-
  compatible encryption and decryption sup-
  port for Info-ZIP's Zip 2.3, UnZip 5.41,
  and WiZ 5.01 (and later).

Naturally this won't allow the generation of zips with AES encryption
allowed by products like WinZIP.

Regards,
  Stephen
