Ok, well one difference seems to be the ability to search the contents
of packages (unless I'm missing something).

Debian lets you search:
* packages that contain files named like this
* packages that contain files or directories named like this
* packages that contain files or directories whose names contain the
keyword
* all files in this package

Searching for "channels relevant to your systems" is possible, but other
than that, there's no way to limit the search by release as there is
with Debian's search function.

Another difference is that you must create a login to search the ones at
rhn. This is probably not a problem for people / organizations that
already have an account setup, but is a pain for someone who just wants
to find out some information (perhaps someone who's not directly
responsible for administering a system, but would like to ask for a
package to be installed). Since anyone can create a login, I don't see
why Red Hat can't simply make this part of their site accessible to
anyone / everyone - there's no sooper sekrit proprietary information
here.
