RHEL 3 and SATA - DVD

RHEL 3 and SATA - DVD

2005-05-17       - By Ed Westphal

The question I've had is about SATA DVD support. The newer
classes of DVD reader/burner, such as Plextor and others, can be obtained as
narrow SATA devices. The Intel ICH5, and higher supports SATA, but I'm
unaware of drivers for Linux kernels. Does anyone know how to do this in
Taroon or elsewhere? Many thanks for any thoughts.
