Back Hi all, I have a doubt regarding the source rpms for RHEL 2.1/3.
1. I have a source rpms for i386. I wanted to know why the rpms for RHEL 2.1 (i386) contains patches for the other achitectures also? for eg: source rpm for i386 also contains architecture specific patches for ia64, x86_64, etc. Why is this so?
2. is it possible that a single source rpm may apply to multiple architectures?
3. How can I know the kernel source rpms available in link: http://ftp.redhat.com/pub/redhat/linux/updates/enterprise/3/en/os/SRPMS/ is for which update (RHEL3 Update2/3/4) and its respective architecture ?
4. Also, from where I can download the sources for "IA32e" architecture?
