I just did a fresh install of RHEL 3 ES off the original CDs with no updates applied. I ran up2date -u and after downloading the headers and then running the tests, I get a screen full of garbage like this:
rsh-0.17-17.6.i386.hdr rsh-0.17-17.6.i386.hdr rsh-0.17-17.6.i386.hdr rsh-0.17-17.6.i386.hdr rsh-0.17-17.6.i386.hdr rsh-0.17-17.6.i386.hdr rsh-0.17-17.6.i386.hdr rsh-0.17-17.6.i386.hdr rsh-0.17-17.6.i386.hdr rsh-0.17-17.6.i386.hdr rsh-0.17-17.6.i386.hdr rsh-0.17-17.6.i386.hdr rsh-0.17-17.6.i386.hdr rsh-0.17-17.6.i386.hdr rsh-0.17-17.6.i386.hdr rsh-0.17-17.6.i386.hdr rsh-0.17-17.6.i386.hdr rsh-0.17-17.6.i386.hdr rsh-0.17-17.6.i386.hdr rsh-0.17-17.6.i386.hdr rsh-0.17-17.6.i386.hdr rsh-0.17-17.6.i386.hdr rsh-0.17-17.6.i386.hdr There was some sort of I/O error: [Errno 24] Too many open files: '/var/log/up2date'
Any ideas?
