up2date printed on the last line:

installing package openoffice.org-1.1.2-24.2.1.EL3 needs 192MB on the /
filesystem

I assume that 192MB is the commulative requirement for all packages,
not just the for one listed on that line.  (it can't be an estimate
just for the individual packages because if it was then all those
numbers add up to 5GB which seems to be a bit too much ..) If what
you're saying is correct, then up2date must have a bug because it's
reporting the required disk space incorrectly. I have over 800MB of
free space in / (and /var is in / too) even after downloading all
required rpm files into /var/spool/up2date.
