Back Hi all,
I am administering about 2 dozen systems that are in various states of (non)updates ranging from U2 to U5.
One of my tasks is to bring all systems to a fully updated state. This is not an issue as all are registered on RHN and can retrieve updates.
The problem is: Many of these servers are production servers and as part of my update procedure, I must provide for an "undo" or rollback procedure.
I've seen that RHN offers snapshot and rollback with provisioning subscriptions but these servers only have update subscriptions and there is no chance of the subscriptions getting upgraded soon.
Here's the question: What tools/procedures do others on this list use to overcome the same issue?
TIA, Michael
