Shaun, For reference the samba net command and its man page are located in the samba-client RPM.
# rpm -qpl samba-client-3.0.9-1.3E.3.i386.rpm |grep net warning: samba-client-3.0.9-1.3E.3.i386.rpm: V3 DSA signature: NOKEY, key ID db42a60e /usr/bin/net /usr/share/man/man8/net.8.gz
However a copy of the man page is also included (although not in the MANPATH) in the main samba RPM
# rpm -qpl samba-3.0.9-1.3E.3.i386.rpm |grep net.8 warning: samba-3.0.9-1.3E.3.i386.rpm: V3 DSA signature: NOKEY, key ID db42a60e /usr/share/doc/samba-3.0.9/docs/htmldocs/net.8.html /usr/share/doc/samba-3.0.9/docs/manpages/net.8
Two things to do, firstly (naturally) check that /usr/share/man/man8/net.8.gz is installed. Secondly it might be worth running /etc/cron.daily/makewhatis.cron to ensure your whatis man page database is up to date.
