is it the name of your zone in the zone definition in your named.conf file?
well, why don you try to pull out the "zone" word from it?
something like: zone "customnetworks.ca." {
I think that that make the system think that you are working with the customnetworks.ca.zone. zone :-(
the zone file name could be any name but the zone name should be your real zone name
