I am in the process of migrating from a dell poweredge 4400 running RH9
to a poweredge 1800 running RHEL3. I thought things were going very
well until tonight, when I started getting segmentation errors on every
command I performed. the last thing I did was mount a smb share, and
things went to heck. I tried a reboot, to the same kernel - the newer
of the two kernels installed - kernel 2.4.21-32.0.1ELsmp, when bootup
is complete, I get:
(none) login:
so I reverted back to the older kernel 2.4.21-4.ELsmp , but then I loose
other things I need, like my onboard gb ethernet card..
any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
