Hi,
I don't know what number of users you have to connect to internet,
but I have my squid mounted a RH9 in PIII processor, 512MB RAM and 9 Gb HDD
for a system of 500 users and don't have problems with memory or disk space.
I think that Squid is the best program to do this and sarg is a good tool to
do reports.
