RHEL + SAN feedback

RHEL + SAN feedback

After what I went through with the NFS client circa U2 - U3, I'm scared
of putting anything terribly important over an NFS mount. :-)

We're all EMC CXx00 here, along with Emulex cards. Granted, managing
drivers and zoning is a bit of an administrative headache, we've been
happy with the performance and reliability.

You should also consider RAC on NFS. I know it may sound crazy at first
but
do your homework and you will see that it is the most cost effective
solution... and everyone that is doing large scale RAC is using it...
I've
done RAC on a multitude of SAN combinations and trust me NFS will give
you
the least headaches with HBA/Fibre.

Hi,

Just out of curiosity, did you consider an iSCSI SAN?

If so, why did you got with the FC one?

Thanks.
