kickstart installs use the package manager.  They're no different than
CD-based installs - just the source for the packages is different and
you've answered some of the questions in advance.  You could argue that
you're not "directly using" a package manager for a CD-based install to.

If you use a system imager, then you've already used rpm to install
RHEL.

This is a Red Hat list.  In any case, EVERY Linux distribution requires
binaries to start - there's no way to throw source code at a computer and
expect something to happen unless you've got a compiler in ROM.
