Back I have a Dell poweredge 1800 running RHEL3 update 5 that gives me segmentation faults on pretty much every basic command. ls, ps -ef, etc.... however ifconfig, lsmod, vi still work. this started last night, when I ran a command to automatically post sales data. The command works on a RH9 system - usually from a script. In order for it to work, I have to add the following lines to my env: export LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4.19 export LANG=C export COBDIR=/usr_local/SYNLNX/COBDIR export LD_LANGUAGE_PATH=/usr_local/SYNLNX/COBDIR/coblib
I then ran /usr_local/SYNLNX/syn GWSCHOOL A ds3 MS/MSAUHU which tells the app to post a certain company as user ds3 using auto posting. it worked beautifully. but then when it ended is when the segmentation faults started.
I'd rather not reinstall the system, but I'm guessing thats the only way to resolve this, unless there is some sage advice on resolving these segmentation faults?
thanks in advance.
