I had practically forgot about this problem but I believe he noted being on 9.2.0.6 which according to the release notes includes the fix for this problem. Also, he is on kernel 2.4.21-32.0.1 which is much newer than U3. He could possibly try the DISABLE_MAP_LOCK option but I think he's clear on the other ones.
Are you using hugetlb? What's the size of your SGA?
