shared memory problem of oracle

Hi,

I've encountered a strange problem of memory management on taroon, so I
need you guys' help.

on our server, we've got an oracle Release 9.2.0.6.0 installed. Today,
when I was checking the memory utilization on the server, I found that
there is no shared memory used in the system. I found it is pretty
strange, because I think oracle uses a lot of IPC calls, and at least,
the libraries oracle should be shared between the oracle processes.

some ideas?

thanks in advance,

dux
