Back Hello,
Thanks for your responses. I have actually a Redhat and I haven't found new distrib built on 2.6 kernel. Does Anyone has more information abut this?
Cheers,
Yann

This is not a minor upgrade to the kernel! When you go from 2.4 to 2.6, it's not as simple as booting a new kernel - there are supporting packages that have to change.
You may be better off upgrading your basic distribution to one that is based on a 2.6 kernel and then applying the appropriate kernel changes within that release.
