Qlogic hba + multipathing question

Qlogic hba + multipathing question

Hi guys,

I have a couple of hosts hooked up to our new EVA-6000, all hosts have 2
Qlogic 2340 hba's running across 2 fabrics.  The driver is configured to
utilize multipathing (aware of the support issues).

Everything is working like a charm, i carve out a lun, present it,
rescan on the host .... it all just works.

The only thing that bugs me is that i can not get the hba's to ignore
lun 0, thus the system sees it as a scsi device and assigns it
to /dev/sda.

-- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- --
Attached scsi disk sda at scsi1, channel 0, id 0, lun 0
SCSI device sda: 1 512-byte hdwr sectors (0 MB)
sda: I/O error: dev 08:00, sector 0
-- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- --

I tried to unbind the device in SanSurfer, but it does not let me
deselect lun0.

Is this something that i can change, is it supposed to be this way,
should i worry about it ?

My first SAN implementation so i am eager to get everything just
right :).

Thanks in advance,

Tobias
