Printer problems (server-error-service-unavailable)

I tried to uninstall cups using rpm, but there were too many dependencies
and the uninstall failed.  The same applied to cups-devel and cups-libs.

In a search on the "server-error-service-unavailable" message, I found a
reference to two bugzilla reports -
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=161889 and
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=161952 which seem to be
duplicates.  It looks like they are unresolved bugs.  Does this mean I have
to give up on printing from my server or am I mis-interpreting the advice
and/or the bugzilla reports?  Thanks.

Thanks.  After backing up the directory, could that be done using rpm to
delete the service and then reinstall it with rpm?

I've always lost my fights with cups. I'd recommend backing up /etc/cups/
then deleting and reinstalling it.
