httpd: Bad Username

httpd: Bad Username

Hello

When I start http on redhat 9.0, I get this message

Httpd: Bad user name "USERNAME"

I checked the httpd.conf file and
The User is defined properly,
Checked the /etc/paddwd file and it is a valid username..
Any hint where to go from here...

What I need to change of check??
