I'm pretty sure this is the same controller that is in my Poweredge 700.
It's supported.

Not sure if this is related or not, but since installing this server 11
months ago, I've replaced 1 drive, and for some reason the raid 5 array
mysteriously breaks once in a while. It's done it about 4 times now. A
reboot and let it rebuild and it's fine again. It's not a power issue as I
have it plugged into a big UPS.

Also, I'm not happy with the performance of this controller. I would
definitely spend the cash and get a SCSI one.

The performance of the SATA one is just not there like on SCSI. I only have
about 25 users on this LAN and I'm seriously thinking about getting the SCSI
controller and drives and overhauling the server on a long weekend.

Subject: Support for Dell CERC 6-Channel RAID Controller>

We're buying a Dell PowerEdge 1800, with Dell's CERC 6-channel SATA RAID
controller.  What is support in RHEL 3 and/or RHEL 4?

Thanks.
