Thomas, Tom, and Raj all mentioned (in positive or negative ways) the Dell
compatibility list at http://linux.dell.com/storage.shtml (apparently, it's not
well maintained).

Thom, who has one of these, added:

"Also, I'm not happy with the performance of this controller. I would
definitely spend the cash and get a SCSI one.

"The performance of the SATA one is just not there like on SCSI."

Officially, Dell supports this for RHEL 3 and 4.
