  | | | Mysql and ulimit-n raise at boot | Mysql and ulimit-n raise at boot 2005-10-05 - By Alain NAKACHE
Back Dear all,
We need to raise at boot the open files ulimit parameter (-n 10000, 1024 is the default) in order to raise the mysql max_connections (max_connections=7000) variable.
I only manage this configuration by modifying /etc/init.d/mysqld script. I don't like this setup and I wonder if a better solution is possible.
I've tested a rc.local setup but mysqld start before rc.local (mysql start = 64, rc.local start=99) and the mysqld script don't seem to have /etc/sysconfig option config file.
Thanks for your help
Regards Alain
