Back I have some files in a shared (via samba) directory that need to have an ACL entry giving a particular user write access to them. Another user creates various excel/word docs in this directory and the user who the ACL entry is for has to edit them. This all works fine however when new files are created they do not automatically have the ACL entry on them.
Is there someway to have all files created in a directory inherit ACL entries from that directory? Something that works in a similar way to setting groupid on a directory for the normal Linux permissions. Alternatively there wouldn't happen to be some kind of umask-like thing that acts on ACLs would there?
Thanks
