  | | | ht flag on dual-core AMD? | ht flag on dual-core AMD? 2005-11-08 - By Brian Long
Back Why does the U5 kernel show "ht" in the CPU flags on a dual-core AMD server? I thought /proc/cpuinfo only showed ht if hyperthreading was enabled on Intel CPUs...
Also, the physical id is 0 on all CPUs in my quad dual-core host. siblings is "1" across the board.
How would I properly determine if my machine was single or dual-core AMD or Intel Xeon? Up until now, I relied on reading values from /proc/cpuinfo. Do I need to resort to DMI information?
