For starters, you're starting from scratch based on your other posting.
Why install RHEL 3 which started shipping in 2003?  Install RHEL 4 which
started shipping earlier this year.

Secondly, the latest version isn't always the greatest.  The focus in
RHEL is to provide a stable release with long-term viability.  Security
patches are back-ported into earlier releases and you're ensured that
you have binary compability as long as you run RHEL 4.

If you're looking for a more current release, Fedora may be better for
you.  You'll have more frequent updates, more breakage, but be on the
leading edge.

It's up to you to decide if you want to be stable or current - you can't
have both.

Are you sure you NEED these or just WANT these?  There's a BIG
difference.
