Back Hello,
I have a box with RedHat AS 3 U6 fully patched, kernel 2.4.21-37.ELsmp, and occasionally get this message in /var/log/messages
"kernel: VFS: Busy inodes after unmount. Self-destruct in 5 seconds. Have a nice day..."
followed by a kernel panic. This happens just after a smbumount that is in a cron job that runs every 30 m (that smbmount/smbumount three w32 shares to make a copy to a iscsi device). My thoughts are that this problem was related to automount (which I have disabled) and that was corrected in U5. I usually get this panic when I'm doing disk operations in a iSCSI device using the iscsi driver AS 3 provides. No other messages in /var/log/messages.
What can I do?
Thanks,
