I have a problem with linuxRDAC failover on RHEL 3.0 AS, update 6 with Qlogic HB 2005-12-06 - By JAJA (Jamie Jamison)
Back I have an Oracle cluster consisting of two Dell 6650s each with 2 Qlogic 2340 HBAs connected to a StorageTek D178 array. I'm running update 6 with the 2.4.21-37EL-hugemem kernel. When I install the Engenio LinuxRDAC software it only sees one of the HBAs, controller B. I can see the LUNs on both HBAs from the firmware utility and also from the operating system when I run the scli utility that comes with the Engenio software, but despite this only one controller works. The only clue I have is that when I look in /proc/scsi/qla2300 I see the following entries. __ ____ ____ ____ ____ ____ ____ ____ ____ ____ ____ ____ ____ ____ __ #cat /proc/scsi/qla2300/2 ...
SCSI LUN Information: (Id:Lun) * - indicates lun is not registered with the OS. __ ____ ____ ____ ____ ____ ____ ____ ____ ____ ____ ____ ____ So on the one controller the LUNS are not registered with the OS. Is this a clue? How do I get these LUNs to register with the OS? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank You, Jamie Jamison
