Even using RHEL 4 U2, which has the same 3.27RH driver, I cannot get the
NIC to DHCP properly.  On RHEL 3 U5 with the U6 tg3 driver, I get the
following:

tg3: tg3_reset_hw timed out for eth0, firmware will not restart
magic=4b657654

A coworker of mine got this working reliably right before he left the
company.  Now I'm having issues and I'm wondering if it's the NIC on
this specific hardware (he was in another office with another xw4300
workstation).

The NIC does have link-beat, but ethtool eth0 shows nothing.  This
machine was running Windows just yesterday.  Any thoughts on where I
should poke further?  I was able to kickstart this machine yesterday via
PXE, but now with the same PXE initrd, I cannot see the NIC.  :(
