Nailing Down a /dev point 2006-01-15 - By Greg Hosler
Back set a device label, and then it will ALWAYS mount to the SAME mount point, regardless as to whether it is detected as sda, sdb, sdc, or whatever.
e2label /dev/sda1 <your label>
The label can be up to 16 characters.
