Nailing Down a /dev point

Nailing Down a /dev point

Okay one last question.

>regardless as to whether it is detected as sda, sdb, sdc, or whatever.

I'm a little confused by this.  So if I set my label for /dev/sda1 then are
you saying that the label will apply to /dev/sdb1, /dev/sdd1 etc *or* that I
have to set the previous label to all of my sd* /dev points ie:

e2label /dev/sda1 LABEL, e2label /dev/sdb1 LABEL ..... e2label /dev/sdd1
LABEL etc.

Thanks for help, all
