Harry:



The 'wall' command only sends messages to all user terminals on the
local host.  And then, only if the user terminal has 'msg' permission
set (see the 'who' command).



To send messages to users on remote hosts, you should look at the
'rwall' command.

Hi all,
Using small home network with 3 linux pc's...trying the wall command to
send
1) Broadcast mesaages

2) message to a specific pc....I type wall then message I press
enter...it says message sent, pc's do not receive, am I missing
something.

Can anyone advise.....is there another utility I could use?.
