Did Ximian ever release an opensource version of Red Carpet?


The 2 pieces that seem to be most difficult/missing are
- the management of the pxe files.  ie, they need to be created and then
removed once used, or on a schedule
- a disk editor with sanity checker

The OpenQRM looks pretty good; it has a commercial side as well
(www.openqrm.com).
