OK, so that does for RedHat rescue, but not arbitrary bootable
CDS.

I guess I'm stuck with either cabling the onboard IDE & power
to a PCI slot at the back (I'm not popping the hood to boot -
my rack's got no goosenecks!) and using an IDE CDROM, or
simply doing the same with SCSI (and the internal/external
adaptors are easier to find and the power comes with the
external caddy). Now off to check that I can boot from SCSI
CD-ROM on the onboard...
