ifconfig output error counts

ifconfig output error counts

Hi,

We are using Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3 Update 4 on an IBM xSeries x236
server.

Now we are getting unusual error counts on ifconfig output. We have one
DUAL Port INTEL Pro1000 server ethernet adapter.

Port one (eth0)has no problems but port two (eth1) is getting errors and
after a short period it becomes unreachable without any
warning.(ifconfig:OK, mii-tool:OK, netsatat:OK, interface is not DOWN)

How can I detect the cause of this problem?

Thanks.
