The main issues we have is that it turns into a burden of supporting a build tree and support structure for these packages. Beyond dealing with the straight dependency issues.. if something comes up security wise, we have to fix, test, push those packages.
However being able to load these items into RHN means that we can make sure that the sub-sites are able to be updated correctly.
